The Tufwhip is a whip built for work. It's just what its name implies, tough. When nylon whips were first introduced, they were used by cattlemen who worked in wet, humid climates. The nylon offered them an advantage over the more expensive leather whips, being more affordable and more resistant to the conditions under which they were being used.
Built on an aluminum handle, the Tufwhip contains 1 plaited belly over a 14 gauge electrical cord core. It's finished with a 16 plait overlay in 1 or 2 colors. The Tufwhip can also be considered an entry level whip, as it costs a bit less than a Standard whip with 2 bellies. Side by side, a Tufwhip and a Standard Whip appear very similar, the main structural difference being the 1 plaited belly for the Tufwhip, as opposed to the 2 bellies on a Standard Whip.
The Tufwhip comes in 4, 5 & 6 foot lengths. If you're interested in a much longer whip, please contact me for pricing details.
